Membership of SAPSAC

SAPSAC invites professionals involved in the education, training, protection, and provision of services to children to apply for membership. This includes psychologists, social workers, medical practitioners, nurses, lawyers, police officials, criminologists, educators, and media professionals.

By becoming a member of SAPSAC, you join a dedicated network of professionals working towards the common goal of protecting and advocating for children who have been abused. Your membership provides you with access to valuable resources, including the bi-annual journal CARSA, which offers insightful articles and research on child abuse and related topics. You will also have access to all previous editions online, keeping you up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

In addition, members enjoy discounted fees for the Annual National SAPSAC Child Abuse Conference, a key event for learning, networking, and staying informed about emerging trends and practices in child protection.

Membership also includes a one-time R50 joining fee and an annual fee of R400, payable by bank transfer or direct deposit, making it an affordable way to stay connected to an influential and committed professional community.

Institutions and organisations focused on the prevention and treatment of child abuse are also encouraged to apply for institutional membership, strengthening the collective effort in child protection.

Your support through membership enables SAPSAC to continue its vital work in child advocacy, research, and the training of professionals across various sectors. Together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of abused children and their families.
